Mississippi COVID-19: Spring Break

Death rates continued to decline after the holidays, with the cumulative tally flattening out through June and into July.

COVID-19 Diagnoses

Positive diagnoses declined to a couple of hundred a day (plotted on the same graph as the prior holiday surge).

 

 

COVID-19 Deaths

Death rates in the community declined slowly, to just a couple a day for the entire state. The Long Term Care Facilities were almost entirely spared.

  

Hospital Use

Hospitals slowly emptied their wards of COVID-19 patients, and number of patients in the Intensive Care Units and on ventilators also declined.
